Children can be introduced to skiing from the age of 3 in a specially adapted children's ski area, the Jardin des Neiges, or can join one of three ski schools for group or private tuition. We are very happy to help book ski school, crèche or kindergarten places for your children – just ask. “I haven’t been so relaxed for a long time – 5 children included!” Cathy Salisbury 2/06 There are sledging slopes and an outdoor skating rink in the village and a little motorised train making frequent tours of the village. Samoëns boasts excellent crèche facilities with a large, purpose built, nursery in the centre of town. Children are accepted from 3 months for half or whole days and meals can be included. In the chalet we provide cots and high chairs, and have plenty of board games, books, toys and films to keep children occupied. We can also help sort out baby-sitting arrangements – subject to availability. In the evenings we cook a 2-course high tea of simple, nutritious, delicious homemade food, with fruit juices and soft drinks.
