Located in the Haute-Savoie and facing the Mont Blanc, the area offers a preserved environment and a breathtaking panorama.

Samoëns is at the heart of the Giffre valley and only an hour from Geneva; this beautiful mountain village of sits at the foot of the majestic Criou Mountain. The 8 person Grand Massif Express gondola (GME) gives access to the whole of the Grand Massif playground including Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon and Sixt in just eight minutes. There's continuous ongoing investment in the ski area & lift system which has recently brought new, fast, high-capacity chairlifts, refurbished lifts and the extensive increase in snow-making.

With its proximity to Mont Blanc, its excellent geographic position and high altitude the region boasts an excellent snow record throughout the winter season. In addition, 80% of the Grand Massif slopes are facing north, which means the snow is not only abundant, but also of excellent quality. 265 km of piste, and skiing up to 2500 m. The area is excellent for skiers and boarders of all levels from beginners to off-piste thrill junkies. The Grand Massif ski area is home to 148 slopes: 20 green slopes for beginners, 64 blue slopes and 50 red slopes for skiers with a medium level as well as 14 black slopes for experienced skiers and 3 snow parks.
